Choose Happiness

The one thing we can control in life is how we respond, which includes what we choose to feel. Yes, it takes intention and focus. Yes, it takes some energy. Nobody can make us feel anything – we CHOOSE how we feel.

Remember that we are not our brain! Our brain will make suggestions…and may present options that are more negative, particularly if it’s into a habit of looking for the negative and has become weighted to see the negative. Re-training our brain to find balance and to focus on a more resourceful and positive option is absolutely within our grasp – we are ¬†capable of choosing to ignore our brain suggestions! Rather, it is our choices, our actions that define us. So choose the path that offers us happiness and kindness.
